In September 2000, Mario Cruz Basurto used a knife to attack someone, stabbing the victim on the left side of his face. Basurto fled the area.

Attempts to find BASURTO have been unsuccessful. Border Patrol and Immigration have been contacted and supplied with "Wanted" Posters.  A $50,000.00 warrant has been issued for his arrest from Monterey County charging him with Attempted Murder.  The case number is 01494-00.
